Black Watch Highland
Dinner
On a winter evening, Saturday February 15th, 2020, the Black Watch held their 10th annual Highland dinner at the Black Watch Regiment. We started with a cocktail that led into a delicious dinner. We celebrated, drank and ate in company of many who had no knowledge of Scottish traditions and who were visiting for the first time.
The Black Watch Regiment explained certain Scottish traditions and officers also explained the various trophies that lined the tables where we ate. We gave a toast to her Majesty the Queen and to His Royal Highness, the Prince Charles Prince of Wales KG KT GCB OM AK QSO GCL SOM CD ADC who is Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Black Watch regiment, the oldest Highland Regiment in Canada. Clan Logan spent time with various members of The Black Watch Pipes and Drums such as Sasha and Daniel. We met Lieutenant Colonel Bruno Plourde's sister Manon and had a nice discussion with the organizers of the Black Watch Veterans L.Col Bruno Plourde's wife and President of the Black watch Women's Division. The evening would not be complete without some Scottish dancing and concluding the evening with a few rounds of Country Scottish dancing to further entertain the guests in attendance.
