Troop's Dinner

Our Clan has participated in various initiatives with The Black Watch Women's Division this year since we are active members. The Royal Black Watch Regiment of Canada has therefore invited us to their annual Troop's dinner that was held on Saturday, December 14th, 2019.
We started with a gathering of the women's Division members which allowed us to get to know other members and share our holiday plans. We were greeted with a quaint buffet and wine. Many visitors came including the Black Watch Veteran's Association. We were also warmly invited to the Toronto Red Hackle dinner by the President of the Toronto branch, Mr.Bill Carlisle. After a short time, the regiment came to get us and escorted us to our seating arrangement near the table of the guest of honour.Right after, the Black watch soldiers were piped in to their seats next to us and at other tables in the following rows with the guest of honour table coming in last. We ate a good meal and had a good laugh as we mingled with the Black Watch soldiers. It was interesting to see these people getting promoted to other ranks and thanked for their good service. The night ended with a raffle and prizes to be won.
