On Burns night, Scots from all over the world gather together to raise their glasses to Robert Burns.

We have something nice to eat and drink, listen to speeches being done in his honour and enjoy a lovely scottish evening. The Saint-Andrew's Society Burns night supper was held at the Mount Royal Club in Montreal. Clan Logan was there to celebrate the Bard of Ayrshire and his contribution to Scotland.

It was an evening that paid tribute to Scotland's National poet who celebrates his 259th anniversay this year. At the cocktail reception, Clan Logan was able to speak with May Cook and Lynn Sheppard from the Sons of Scotland benevolent association who are based in Verdun. The Saint Andrew's society, who celebrates its 183rd year in Montreal,  offered an elegant traditional evening that Robert Burns would have been proud of. The new president of the Saint Andrew's Society of Montreal, Mr.Jason MacCallum welcomed everyone for attending this event. The guest of honour was Ian Aitken who also had a few kind words to add for the attendees. Clan Logan got to hear the selkirk grace done by Campbell Oliver and saw the piping of the Haggis being masterfully done by Cameron Stevens. This year we got an impressive Adress of the Haggis was done by Peter Limeburner and a very nice immortal memory done by Marilyn Meikle. Clan Logan toasted to the Queen, the lassies and laddies. The menu offered delighted everyone. We enjoyed some cock-a-leekie Soup, some Haggis and Roast Beef with Yorkshire pudding and Haricots Verts. Clan Logan got to enjoy the delicious Mount Royal Club trifle also. It was a night to remember as we raise our glasses to Robbie Burns! Pictures were taken of the event by the professional photographer Peter Matulina. The Clan Logan Society of Canada wishes to thank the Saint-Andrew's Society of Montreal for a wonderful evening as well as all organizers and sponsors of the evening, Pembroke Wealth Management and MJ Squared.
